David J. MacPhee, COO
Glen P. Shields, Managing Director
Glen is the President of LeverPoint Management, LLC. Glen has over 12 years of experience in the financial and accounting industry and has been with the LeverPoint practice since 2001. Glen has provided services to private equity, venture capital and fund of fund firms. Glen earned his CPA designation with PricewaterhouseCoopers where his clients included financial services, middle market and publicly traded companies. Glen holds a B.A. in Economics and M.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
Krista McCoy, Managing Director
As Managing Director for LeverPoint Management, LLC Krista is responsible for managing the operations of our client teams. Krista has been with the group since 2000 and has over 15 years experience in the financial and accounting industry. Krista provides services to funds ranging in size and type as well as management companies, general partner entities and co-investment vehicles. Krista earned her CPA designation with Bollam, Sheedy, Torani, LLP where she worked within the Financial Services practice. Krista is a graduate of Siena College with her B.A. in Accounting.
Edmar V. Vieira, Director
Edmar is a Director with LeverPoint Management, LLC and is responsible for the venture capital clients at the firm. Edmar has several years of private equity experience, most recently as Director of Finance at Village Ventures, Inc. Prior to that, he was a Fund Controller at Berkshire Partners, LLC. Edmar started his professional career at Pricewaterhouse-Coopers where he was a Tax Manager. Edmar is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College.
Edward D. McCarthy, Director
Edward is a Director, responsible for providing back office solutions to private equity funds. He joined the LeverPoint practice as a Senior Accountant in 2003. Edward has over 13 years of experience including 4 years at Gellar and Company. Edward received his B.A. in Economics from the University at Buffalo and M.S. in Accounting from the University at Albany. Edward is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Richard J. Tyler, Director of Tax
Richard is a Director with LeverPoint Management, LLC, and is responsible for managing the tax services provided to the firm’s private equity and venture capital clients. Richard has over 17 years of tax experience, including over 10 years of public accounting experience, primarily with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Tax Director. Richard’s Financial Services experience includes advising both corporations (public and private) and closely held entities. In this regard, Richard worked in Washington, D.C., for a number of years providing tax services (including due diligence, M&A, general consulting and compliance) to a large private equity / venture capital conglomerate as well as other midsize private equity firms. Richard received his B.B.A in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from Siena College.
Scott C. Brazee, Manager
Scott has been working in the financial and accounting industry for over 10 years and joined the practice during 2006. Since joining the LeverPoint practice he has worked on back office accounting services for both private equity and venture capital clients. Scott began his career in 1996 after graduating from the College of Saint Rose located in Albany, NY with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He also holds an M.B.A. from State University of New York at Albany. Scott has worked in various additional industries such as leasing, life insurance, investments, and health insurance.
